After college, I taught piano, guitar, and general music as a volunteer teacher in rural Malaysia for one year. In graduate school, I instructed two courses of ear training every semester. I have several methods, but mostly I teach to sing based on solfeage and songs, either italian, german, latin, spanish, and french. Solfeage helps the student to understand better sheet music and also helps understand the real emotion of the piece, among other things involved in a piece. I am the students greatest motivator. I love to bring out the best in all of my students and help them discover things about their musical capacities that they never have before. I am highly enthusiastic and believe that every one learns at their own pace. Its never about how quickly you learn something, but about how well you learn it, even if it takes time.
