I am used to teaching students in government established schools where I teach them basic palm and stick druming. After I had gain a lot of recognition as a drum instructor, I started doing workshop and music seminars for beginners, intermediate and professionals teaching them basic techniques to african percussion and contemporary band percussion play with the introduction of mutitasking or what I call seperations on a big stage. My passion for teaching has extended into my graduate studies, where I focused on piano pedagogy. My method of teaching is to start students with a strong foundation of buzzing and making characteristic sounds on the horn. This includes buzzing with and without the mouthpiece. Also, my students must be able to read music. Reading music is very important to me, having the students be musically literate with a decent tone will take a student far in their musical career.
