I have performed in all kinds of groups including jazz bands, wind ensembles, latin groups, and even choirs. I grew up in Cozad, Nebraska which is a small town, but I was influenced by so many kinds of music given this age of technology. I completed Grade 6 in ABRSM examination before coming to the United States for my Bachelor degree in Psychology. I had 3 years of piano performance experience when I was in a choir team and those were the most amazing times I have ever had. I joined a choir named Synctone Choir in 2009 and I have gone through vocal training for 3 years. There we had competitions and events like Acapella festivals. My teaching style, while keeping a focus on the fundamentals of piano, also encourages creativity and exploration of their own. All students have different learning styles and speeds, and some students may take longer to understand certain concepts. Drum set and marching percussion have been my passion since 2008. Through these instruments I've had the opportunity to meet hundreds of musicians from all over the US as well as travel much of the country. Performing everywhere from State Fair bandstands, to stadiums, to coffee shops, I've found there's always something new to see and someone new to meet. Because playing music encompasses many distinct disciplines, I do not simply focus on technical development. I provide my students many avenues to improve their music performance abilities by teaching them about both the science and the art of playing an instrument.
