In 2016, I graduated from Cleveland Institute of Music with a Artist Diploma degree in Piano Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greatest experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play both at the Cleveland Severance Hall and Carnegie Hall in New York, as well as touring China, Japan, Australia, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Israel as several performances as the principle pianist with major orchestras. I am an enthusiastic and compassionate instructor who loves to share my musical knowledge with those eager and willing to learn. I received a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from Cleveland State University in 2018 and became a board-certified music therapist in January of 2019. With this degree and profession comes the knowledge and skillset of numerous instruments, including voice (my primary instrument), guitar, piano, and ukulele. I have been proudly teaching general and instrumental music in the Cleveland Public Schools for the last twenty-three years. I love teaching because I believe most, if not all, people love music and can learn to love making music. I want it to be fun for them, to keep them interested. I believe that a set of expectations on the student is required to keep them motivated, but I am never upset or disappointed if they don't practice enough. When starting with a young beginner student, I typically start with the beginning Suzuki Method books or Essential Elements books. I will also work on school repertoire if applicable. Once they have advanced past the level of the Suzuki books, I will begin to introduce solo works appropriate for their level and desire. When teaching adults of varying abilities, my methods are much more tailored to their wants in terms of style of music, difficulty of the pieces and the speed at which they would like to learn.
