A very important aspect to my enjoyment of all of these pursuits is the degree to which they actually connect and overlap with many other topics and disciplines- science, mathematics, visual art, language and sociology all intersect with music at one point or another.  I love teaching music, and started when I was twenty years old.  From 2005-2006, I studied guitar at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, before a hand injury forced me to move back to the Chicagoland area.  In 2009, I graduated from Prairie State College with a Liberal Arts Degree. Some will prefer to learn how to just physically play the guitar, and others may want a little more in depth understanding about the theory behind it and how to read music.
