A parent of a former studnet of mine had this to say about me - "Owen has been our 11 year old daughters guitar teacher for almost two years. During that period she has excelled, not only in ability but also in self-confidence and her enthusiasm for playing. Owen is a gifted teacher but he is also warm, patient and fun." - Samantha J. For students that like to uses books I like to use the Hal Leonard Method books for Guitar, Bass, Banjo, and Ukulele and the Alfred Method books for Piano and Drums. Read More

I have had multiple different instructors throughout my life, and some of them seem to have had their own agenda and what they wanted me to be learning. I instead prefer to understand what the students goals are with the guitar, and devise lesson plans based on what each student hopes to gain from taking lessons. Read More

Learn something new as much as you can. Everyday I play the guitar I try and learn something new and always remember no matter how good you get to always be a student of the instrument. It goes a long way in your own abilities. I enjoy teaching anyone willing to learn the guitar. Age and gender do not matter to me. The guitar doesn't care who's playing it but when you play it well, it sings, no matter who's playing it! Read More
