Eventually, I got very serious about my guitar playing, and ended up moving to Boston to study jazz performance at Berklee. I then continued teaching once in college by volunteering at local high schools helping new students to the band programs learn brass and percussion. I could say the best part while learning was understanding theory...that part of my learning opened up many doors for me musically.
