Guitar Lessons in Bunola, PA

Instruments: Guitar

Teaching style: having the student focus on simplicity...focus on practice, practice, practice....focus on enjoying the lesson, not dreading it. I will assess the students' needs simply by having a conversation first. Then ask some basic questions about what music style is appealing to them. Most important is that whatever the student's level is, just feel comfortable, relaxed and look forward to this wonderful journey that is called "Playing the Guitar"!    Keep in mind, my schedule is flexible. I view music education as a form of therapy. If my students continue to have a genuine desire to use music as an outlet for expression, stress regulation, confidence building, developing healthy relationships with themselves, etc, then I am doing my job. My teaching style adapts to meet the needs, interests, and goals of each individual student. I constantly strive to help highlight each student's strengths and work through their weaknesses. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

I have been teaching private lessons for the last 6 years and began teaching in the public school system in spring of 2022. I took various courses in instrument methodology for brass, woodwind, and string instruments, and studied leading pedagogy practices from distinguished educators. I studied cello with PSO musician Adam Liu, and performed challenging works for solo cello in my studio as well as orchestral works with the full Duquesne Symphony Orchestra. Read More

There is nothing more gratifying for me than seeing my students grow on their instruments, develop knowledge, and improve the way they play the violin. I try to encourage them as much as possible, and I try to make them feel committed to the practice of the instrument as a fun activity for them. I set realistic goals for the short and long term, based on their needs, that way they can accomplish those goals and see progress. Read More
