In both of those environments, I typically taught children ages 6 to 12, most of whom were beginners on their instrument. I approach teaching as an avenue to inspire others. Making mistakes are just as important as playing something perfect. I like to stress that perfection is not the goal but feeling good from playing your instrument is. It is very important for my students to practice outside of lessons.
