Mr. Vázquez has been awarded with the 2014 Ohio Latino Award as an art leader for his flute work in the state of Ohio. Rodolfo is founder of the No Strings Attached Chamber Music Society and chairman of the Ohio Hispanic Fine Arts Association. This organization promotes Latino arts in Ohio. I have a more laid back teaching style that is adapted to the student's personality and learning style. The last thing that any student wants is a stressful environment. Musical lessons should be challenging and have an element of fun as well. The student should leave the lesson wanting to come back to another lesson not feeling like they should put their instrument down and give up. I approach every genre with a strong foundation in order to make repertoire more approachable, such as learning a variety of scales, developing good tone, and working on method or etude books to strengthen the range of possibilities on their instruments. For all ages and all instruments, you will be working on scales, chord progressions, transposition and reading of music for piano; scales, lip slurs, technical etudes, long tones, transposition and reading of music for trumpet; and scales, slurs, technical studies, transposition and reading of music for flute. For all instruments, there will be one key book that will cover everything you need to know. I truly believe that when students are nurtured and given a comfortable space they will excel as creating music and art is vulnerable and requires the student to let go.
