After Berklee I taught full time for one year at a local music store. While attending MSM I taught group classes in New York City middle schools on Clarinet and Flute. My teaching includes all aspects of music; Musical theory, sight singing, as well as Music History. My teaching style allows the child to have fun while they learn their instrument, but I emphasize a strong practice regiment. Your child will understand that while learning music and an instrument can be fun, there will be some work involved if they want to become great. I started teaching privately when I was in high school. After graduating with my masters from Yale my interest and love of teaching has grown and become an essential element of my career. While at Yale I worked as a Teaching Artist in two New Haven public schools. I taught private lessons as well as coached chamber ensembles and ran sectionals.
