I have not yet started my teaching career but I am super excited to start gaining experience with all of you! I have taken a flute pedagogy class at my undergraduate, Gettysburg College and a woodwind and brass method class during my graduate studies at The Longy School of Music. I have much more experience performing and participating in summer flute masterclasses. I do hope to gain professional music performance experience by being in an orchestra, opera, or ballet, doing chamber music, and organizing small solo concerts. Read More

I have been a part of the Hazleton Liberty Band (which has roots tracing back to the Civil War) and church groups since high school. For beginners, I start with the basics of sound production, and move onto reading music and basic songs shortly after. I try to teach things both visually and by ear, so that the student does not feel that they have to wait to play fun music until they are advanced enough.
