I have a more laid back teaching style that is adapted to the student's personality and learning style. The last thing that any student wants is a stressful environment. Musical lessons should be challenging and have an element of fun as well. The student should leave the lesson wanting to come back to another lesson not feeling like they should put their instrument down and give up. I've been in the teaching field for the past couple years through small groups and ensembles, as well as one on one private lessons. I've helped both band and choir directors with their ensembles and selected students, mostly marching band camps and OMEA Solo and Ensemble participants. He has been awarded three times by the Ohio Arts Council and eleven  times by the Greater Columbus Arts Council for CD recordings of Latin American, classical, original music and for chamber music recitals in Franklin County, OH USA. Every lesson, I write memos about assignemnts, and student's progress compare to previous lesson/week. Therefore, students and parents will receive "Progress Results" in every four lessons. When I started college, I continued to teach flute lessons and I then began teach saxophone lessons as well. I truly believe that when students are nurtured and given a comfortable space they will excel as creating music and art is vulnerable and requires the student to let go.
