For beginners students, I start with Trevor Wye's Beginners Book for Flute, as well as Rubank's selected duets (Volume 1), and Marcel Moyse The Debutante Flutist. Once we have covered the basic foundations of the flute and have formed a core sound, I then introduce solo repertoire that is appropriate for the students.
