Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I began playing the drums when I was just 10 years old, and they quickly became my first love in the world of playing and creating music. In 4th grade I got a recorder and from then on I've soaked up all the music experiences around me. I fondly remember my first solo performance was 5th grade, and my first honor band was that summer. By my senior year of high school I had been involved in a couple dozen honor bands/choirs/orchestras including an amazing tour of Europe in a 200 person band! For children I start with the very basics of rythym adn technique. If you learn these at a young age these things will stay forever. I encorporate fun easy songs to play along to. As the child progresses more advanced skills will be given. For college age to adults I focus on what the person is interested and how far they want to take it. I help them understand and focus on the style of music that pleases them. I show them the alternative possibilities they have to what they feel comfortable playing.
