I love teaching and sharing the joy of music with others! In 2011, I graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder with a Bachelor's in Percussion Performance. I've performed all over the world on cruise ships and touring with artists. I've played in numerous bands in the Los Angeles area of all genres. From there, I get them to start incorporating some fills. I try to find out what kinds of music the student likes, and continue teaching them a few more grooves and fills and some other simple songs going off of that. I also start explaining subdivisions some more at this point. From there, I typically start to get into some rudiments and basic exercises. My biggest joy is helping my students develop a passion for music and performing. Opening up the world of music to a student and seeing their progress over time is priceless. It is important that each student progress at their own pace. Setting goals for each lesson, and encouraging each student helps to fuel desire, interest and progress.
