Drums is one of the most versatile instruments and I think its very important to explore and learn about its history in terms of all genres. I believe that drum has to start with the basics, I used to practice at least one hour a day every day for over 10 years. I still practice on a regular basis with my pads and on my drums. So many drummers you see today are not schooled and its a shame. if you start with a good solid foundation you can be the best there is. After graduating in 2015 with my AA in Music Performance I performed, taught and did live sound all around the Los Angeles area. Im proficient in multiple styles of drumming as well as percussion. This knowledge is vital, for it is the opening for what I can do to get the student to develop a true attachment and love for playing drums. I have seen many young musicians get overwhelmed and grow a detest for starting music lessons with an instructor that gives the student a formula for playing drums that is the opposite of what they actually desire to play.
