As an award-winning flutist, I am a solo, orchestral and chamber musician. I perform with the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, Casals Festival Of Puerto Rico, the Philharmonia Symphony Orchestra, and Camerata Filarmónica, among others. My experience includes performances with conductors such as Pablo Heras-Casado, Maximiano Valdés, Carlos Miguel Prieto, Victor Yampolsky, and Kenneth Kiesler. I have enjoyed teaching since High School, when I traveled to teach students by bus. Later I traveled by car to homes to teach, but have only taught in my studio for over 20 years. I find that the lessons are better where I have all of my wealth of music. I try to relate to each student personally, so they feel comfortable, and enjoy their lessons. Music lessons can be very boring if there is not the right balance of things taught. I always make sure that each lesson incorporates a mixture of technical work specific to the clarinet, scales, note and rhythm reading, basic clarinet repertoire, well known pieces, unknown pieces and sight reading.
