These were wonderful opportunities to teach peers and those who have been in the music education field much longer than the four of us. Although teaching large groups is exciting, nothing beats one-on-one lessons with a student. I have had and taught plenty of these lessons for several instruments including flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, french horn, euphonium, tuba, percussion, piano, guitar, and bass guitar. I grew up learning music in the Rochester area and received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in 2015. I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Music. He has recorded for the Naxos label with the University of Texas at Austin Wind Ensemble and the Eastman Wind Ensemble. Carl has been teaching clarinet at the Eastman Community Music School for 5 years and is a freelance clarinet recitalist and chamber musician in the Rochester area. He is also the organist and music director at St. Mary and St. Mark R.C. parishes.
