I have students performing in PMEA district band, honors bands, HS marching bands and community bands. I work with clarinet and saxophone students of all levels, and beginner piano students. In 2011, I graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance and just this past May I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Masters degree in Music. I am a driven player who believes ardently in the practice of fundamentals and the accuracy of intonation. I auditioned for the U.S Army Band in 2004 and spent 10 years traveling with the group. During this time, I played venues all over the world, including Japan, Korea, Germany, and Iraq among others, and learned to play many different styles of music. I served as the clarinet section leader and then woodwind captain in my high school marching band, where I was responsible for conducting rehearsals and sectionals as well as teaching music to other woodwind students in grades 9-12. I am devoted to becoming the best performer that I can be as well as the best teacher that I can be, as I see the areas enhancing one another.
