I attended Berklee College of Music in Boston , MA from 1975-1979 and left (5 weeks short of my degree) to perform in a rock band who toured for 5 years in the US and Canada. At a very early age she started formal musical training in her native home town of San Juan Puerto Rico and quickly developed great appreciation for music and arts. She was accepted in an arts specialized school where she was constantly exposed to private lessons, large ensembles and chamber music. I entered a similar relationship with teaching when I relocated to Chicago in 2016 to play with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.
