When we learn how to speak, we also learn how to read and write in our language. I believe that the same is important for music. I use different books for adults and children. I am sensitive to the musical tastes of my students and try to cater to them. Most are very happy with Alwin Schroeder Foundation Studies, Carl Schroder Violoncello Method and the Suzuki Books. I dont have a dogmatic, one size fits all approach; rather, I adjust to each individual student and his or her own needs.
