I began teaching in my sophomore year of high school. I was asked to be a student teacher at the summer camps hosted at the School of Rock Chicago. I learned a great deal as I taught rock songs to kids of all ages, prepared them to record original music, and helped direct their performance. I fell in love with the process of engaging a students learning style and figuring out how to relate to each student as an individual. Read More

Instruments: Guitar, Bass Guitar, Double Bass, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

I began teaching bass in high school to elementary and middle school students. In college, as my knowledge of music theory expanded, I began teaching guitar and voice as well. I'm currently teach jazz music the most, but I have found that covering more styles as a teacher reminds me of how connected the world of music really is and I'd love to get back into teaching rock, classical, funk and other styles of music.
