I am a professional composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer, and music teacher currently living in Parker, CO after a number of years living in Boston, MA and Jeju Island in South Korea. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2015 with a BM in Songwriting. I spend the vast majority of my time continuing my own musical education and subsequently spreading the joy and power of music with others. Recently, I've released an album of solo piano music called "I Dreamt We Fell In Love," listenable everywhere ^^ Read More

I've been playing bass for 13yrs and guitar for about 9yrs. I started out learning to play bass in the church and took lessons from the Pastor's son for a few months. Eventually became self-taught and learned from bassists that I admired and formed my own style of playing. I went on to teach friends, family, and church folk what I know about bass and music. I have played in a few church bands as well as rock and punk bands in the Southern California area. Read More

Through the years, I have compiled sheet music that I wrote out myself of songs that were hard to find/and easier to read. I have hundreds if not thousands of these songs. I start beginner guitar with Neil young songs because they are slow and use basic chords. Also a Pink Floyd song. It has worked for years. From there I teach a Bob Dylan song and sweet home Alabama. For beginning students who are children, I use a variety of methods, including Hal Leonard's Children's Guitar Method, Suzuki methodologies (I am NOT a Suzuki-certified teacher), and materials I've developed over my 25 year teaching career. I emphasize basic technique for the left and right hands, and I make sure they learn the basics of reading music. For older students (middle school-age to adult), I tend to let the student lead. My main philosophy is that every student is different and should be treated accordingly. The methods I use are specifically tailored to each student and can be methods that I have learned or developed myself. I start students off by asking them collect ideas about their instrument and the music they enjoy. From that point, I begin to simultaneously teach technique and musicianship in relation to their expressed interests. The key to my teaching method is that I ask difficult questions and then I give the student time to think and develop an answer. Read More

My teaching method varies depending on their age. From 4 years to 8 years i use an advance learning method, which consists of developing reading and playing based on color coding music notes. For people 9 and up the method i use is the traditional method from the Cuban and Spaniard school. This consists of developing the three characteristics of a musician. The first characteristic called Theory consists of the learning everything concerning music theory and the instrument. Read More
