I love teaching students privately one on one. My youngest student was 4; a Piano student. She was from a Russian family and didn’t speak a word of English. Teaching her was a joint effort between myself and the girl’s mother who did speak English; a very interesting experience. My oldest student was 86; a Guitar student. He had studied previously with another instructor and loved to play. With 30 years of woodwind teaching experience, I have taught all levels from elementary students to college and beyond! I encourage regular practice schedules of a half an hour five times a week. I have developed 15 practical practice techniques that are fun and advance the student at a steady pace. Also, I encourage my students to perform in small recitals biannually.
