I teach kids with Frederick Noad's Guitar Solo Playing and also I adopt the guitar curriculum created by Austin Classical Guitar. Both methods provide several pieces that the kid plays with the teacher. I love seeing my Students enjoy what they do and feel proud of themselves in their musical journey! I see a successful lesson being the child has enjoyed themselves and WANTS to practice and improve - which in turn allows the Student to progress quicker and find their "sound" - I will always be adapting my teaching style depending on how engaged the Student is - whether that be theory learning or playability practice games, I am always happy to change the lesson plan if I feel it will better the Student in the long term. Also, I started taking on bigger gigs which gave me the chance to polish my solo performance skills. Over the years I have had the privilege of working with many amazing musicians in various ensembles, further developing my craft. Read More
