Therefore, I make it a point to set an agenda in each lesson that starts and ends with something fun, and is also predictable so that students know intuitively how to go about their practicing. I began teaching music lessons before I actually graduated with my degree in Music Education! In college, I gave voice lessons to fellow students regularly and lead many rehearsals and after school music camps for elementary and middle school aged students. While student teaching, I had the opportunity to lead 5 different choirs, lead 8 different levels of music education and give after school tutoring to students. I am a member of National Music Teachers Association, Colorado State Music Teachers Association and Foothills Music Teachers Association.
