My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching at a music summer camp 3 years ago. Since then, I have been teaching private students. I encourage regular practice sessions. This is one of the key points I like to emphasize for beginners especially, as it tends to help the student progress, gain a passion for the instrument, and build discipline. I am a passionate and motivated instructor and music performer and  I am confident that my academic background and performance experience would be successfully utilized in this teaching position. I have a Masters of Music degree in Vocal Performance from The Royal Danish Academy of Music and a Bachelors of Music from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University. I began my vocal private studio while working on my Masters degree in Copenhagen in 2007. As a performer I have had the opportunity to work with companies such as Opera Naples, Gulfshore Opera, Miami Lyric Opera, Sobe Arts, Miami International Piano Festival, Orchestra Miami, Symphony of the Americas, Miami Symphony Orchestra, Emerald City Opera, Miami Opera Institute, Florida Chamber Orchestra, Russian Opera Workshop, Danish Radio Choir and Orchestra, Royal Danish Academy Choir and Orchestra and the Amager Music Festival to name a few.        Read More

My student, no matter what age, starts with light vocalizing, lip trills, humming etc. for young students I usually pick a light song and work on basics using the song as an exercise. My older students have to work a little more, exercising scales, monitoring placement, support, palette work. A song is picked by me and the student together. Read More

I continued mentoring the entering students until I moved to the United States, where I quickly started volunteering as a tutor at the Miami Music Project, and shortly after at the Siman Orchestral Foundation. When I moved to Boston to finish college, I did not have the time to volunteer formally at any institution, but as a part of my curriculum, I visited several public schools, observed and evaluated the teacher's methods.
