Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

As a senior in highschool, I was offered to teach beginning violin lessons at the homeschool co-op I was attending. Besides teaching the basics of the violin and beginner level music-playing, I gained experience in practicing efficient time management, lesson planning, and working with varying instruction approaches due to the age ranges of my students. The summer following my senior year, I greatly enjoyed being a camp leader for the Anderson University Summer String Camp. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Voice, Violin, Viola, Flute, Piccolo
My teaching style really focuses around developing a love for your instrument. If the student loves their instrument and the music that is written for their instrument, they will feel encouraged to practice. I try to pick up on the student's personality and learning styles and make each person's lesson a combination of my teaching styles and what works best for the student. Once we find the routine and groove that works for the both the student and myself, then the learning should come along easily and fun. Read More

In the first class I like to know if the student has any knowledge in music and what made them want to learn the instrument. If they have some knowledge I like to see what they know so I can determine an appropriate path base on what they already know. If the student has no knowledge I start with the basics like recognizing the instrument's parts, the name of the notes, the name of the instrument's strings. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Violin
The lesson plan I use depends on different factors; including students' age, devotion, interests, and the skills they develop overtime. I use the Suzuki Method to emphasizes memorization techniques based on repetition, Hal Leonard Essential Elements for Strings to dominate specific exercises, The Sassmannshaus Tradition for beginners, String Explorer, Wohlfahrt Sixty Sudies , and I very often insert other lessons from various composers to work on an particular technique. I encourage students to open their minds and enjoy the exclusive world of music. Read More
Instruments: Violin, Viola, Music
For beginning students, especially young children, I always use the Hal Leonard's Essential Elements Books 1-3. After some time, when the student has more of a grasp on the fundamentals and reading music, then I will bring in some basic solo repertoire and music of their choice (Disney, Star Wars, etc.) to inspire them to continue and feel motivated to learn. Then, the Wohlfahrt etude book will be introduced as a daily practice for left hand technique. Read More
