My passion is teaching. It's my profession, as well as my hobby (I am a Volunteer Sunday School Teacher). String students: For both younger and adult beginners, I like to use a combination of the Suzuki books and the Essential Elements series. I have known since a very young age that music would always be the biggest part of my life. I grew up studying the violin and piano intensively, and eventually decided the violin was the instrument I wanted to focus on. Performing has always been a love of mine, but in the past few years I have found that my true passion lies in teaching. I started teaching violin at The Miracle Center, through the After School Matters program 10 years ago. Since then I've been violin teacher at several Chicago Public Schools, Chicago District Parks and violin teacher at the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance. I currently teach at CPS schools Thorp Scholastic Academy and Coonley Elementary. I've worked with students of all ages and enjoy finding new and fun ways to approach leaning.
