After my own experience with it as well as teaching it, Suzuki has great techniques and music for getting students experience in sight-reading, ear training, and memorization. With the youngest students I start with the fundamentals such as naming the different parts of the instrument and some basic rules with notes. Since 2007, I've documented various events, such as an international summer course for music and dance educators in Czech Republic, a children's English language and Art camp in Ibiza Spain, and a national archery competition in Austria. I want to push the student to work hard, but would never give them more than they can handle. I want my students to love music and look forward to practicing each day. I am a very laid-back teacher. My belief is that music is fun. I encourage my students to have fun. Too many teachers make music all about practice and drilling. While practicing and drilling is definitely a part of learning, it is not the end-all be-all. Music needs to be enjoyed for what it is - fun! I have had teachers who have sucked the joy out of learning for me, and I strive to make sure that never happens for my students. Read More

I am a third-year undergrad at NYU, studying Music Education with a concentration in instrumental performanceand I love it!
