First its the posture method and focus control which basically is meditation applied in the musical field and the right synchronization with the tongue and breathe. the next method(s) is focusing on the students embouchure. then i like the yamaha book for starters and a couple other good books. I also like to spend some lessons just working on sound and free lancing as well as other lessons dedicated to sight reading, musical phrasing, articulation, styles of music...ect...I also have days where we have music appreciation by taking them on trips. Music is not a test and their is no failing, there is only the end result, which ends when the student makes progress, no matter how long it takes.
