Sound is the most important aspect of trumpet playing, and the good thing is you can practice pretty much anything and still focus on your sound. For beginners I usually supplement their beginner band book with some simple drills from Schlossberg's Daily Drills or some I wrote myself. The biggest joy in teaching and working with students is seeing them develop a passion and love for music. My teaching experience is very hands on and I love to model everything that I teach. It's important for my students to progress at his or her own pace and I encourage this by setting goals for my students at each lesson. I am a motivated teacher and performer. I received my Bachelor of Music degree in Education in 2018 from Stephen F Austin State University. I am currently attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where I am working on my Master of Music in Trumpet Performance.
