Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

As a music educator, I facilitate a safe, welcoming environment for students to learn and attain their goals. My students grow their creative capabilities by exploring music that challenges them to become better musicians. I incorporate music that you want to play such as pop, classical, or music from various cultures while still going over the fundamentals of their instrument. I also encourage questions during lessons so that less mistakes are made during concerts and playing tests. Read More

I'm still playing and composing in Maryland, and am working with D.C's top wedding /show band 'Amaretto' (Washinton's Best Musicians agency, David Fletcher). Having returned from being back in Canada the past 3 years composing and producing music, I'm excited to be back here and to be helping create music in the community I live in. I believe that this is an important time, in that we experienced musicians must contribute to the communities in which we live in order to maintain a vibrant culture of the arts in all it's forms. Piano: For beginning students who are children, I start by teaching out of the Faber Piano Adventure books. I find that they focus on the more exciting aspects of music, such as sight reading. This is different from the Bastion books which I think focus too much on more challenging (and boring) methods such as articulation. The Faber books are great because they have fun short songs that the student can play with the teacher in a duet. Read More
