I have always had an interest in music, and that really blossomed into something more when I started playing the clarinet in elementary school. I started to teach speech level voice production with a wide range of styles including pop, rnb, world music. I'm comfortable teaching from Beginner through Intermediate and onto Advanced levels in Drums and Bass Guitar. I can even teach through the expert levels reliably on Guitar- Steel-string acoustic, and Electric guitar styles - some fingerstyle, but not pure Classical guitar styles. I do a '50-50' method, 50 percent spent reinforcing and going over your music studies with written, theory-based materials. I deeply value understanding student's needs in order to guide them through their challenges accordingly. In addition, I believe that learning music should be engaging and meaningful. For example, students are encouraged to set their own poetry, short stories, or paintings to music.
