For the remainder of high school, he studied in the Honors Program at the Mannes College of Music Prepartory Division with Sue Ann Kahn. Daryl graduated high school serving one year as Piccolo Player in the Senior Symphonic Orchestra, and one year as Principal Flute Player of the Senior Symphoniy Orchestra, Senior Symphonic Band, and the Pit Orchestras of Ragtime and City of Angels. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. My mother was a trumpet and piano teacher and I grew up with lessons going on in the house constantly. My father was an English teacher for 35 years! I have enjoyed thirty years of private lessons, teaching all ages a variety of styles of music! My sister is a violinist that plays in the Stanford Symphony!
