The bulk of my experience comes from eleven years of performance, in which I have been exposed to the vast majority of flute literature, ranging from standard solo repertoire, to chamber music (flute ensemble/woodwind quintet/flute quartets), to orchestra masterpieces, and to broadway pit orchestras. I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2008, I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trombone Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play both at the Hollywood Bowl in California, as well as touring the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia with groups like the Backstreet Boys and the Brian Setzer Orchestra. I have been teaching trumpet since 2008 where I have been giving private, in home instruction. All of my students take part in the NYSSMA festival and annually score at the top of their class. Some students have made it into the SCMEA, NYSCAME, and All-State Festivals. I am a trained classical trumpeter and I am proficient on the Bb, C, Eb, A piccolo, G Bugle, and Flugelhorn trumpets.
