I grew up in Georgia fully embracing my band nerd. I started playing the saxophone in middle school and took weekly lessons. This led me to go on to college to study music. The saxophone lends itself to play in all genres like jazz and even classical music. I bring a mix of these into the lessons I teach to help students become well versed in saxophone literature. I am a student at Chatham University studying Vocal Performance, International studies with a focus in Africa, and minoring in Psychology. I am passionate about music, having learned 7 instruments on top of practicing voice, and love to share the knowledge that I have gained. I have been performing in plays and musicals, and as a soloist since 2009 and continue to do so today. I am a devoted music teacher and passionate performer, who likes to inspire my students to love making music. I perform with orchestras and chamber groups all over the Pennsylvania/Ohio area including the West Virginia Symphony orchestra. Additionally, I have an active chamber group, Kassia Ensemble, a mixed instrumentation group dedicated to furthering women's leadership in the arts.
