Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I'm a Jazz/Classical pianist, composer, and educator. I graduated from Concordia University and started my career as a Jazz pianist in Montreal QC. Soon after, I took a next big step of pursuing MM (master's in music) in Jazz Piano in NY. I had wonderful two years in SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music studying with renowned Jazz legends, and it led me to an opportunity to go for second MM in Classical Composition that gave me so much wider and deeper musical spectrum. My overall philosophy of teaching music is that it should be a life-long learning experience for both teacher and student and that,like anything that lasts, it should be built on a firm foundation. My goal in teaching piano is music literacy which, in turn,brings musical independence, and I begin with a structured approach to learning the necessary skils, reinforced by daily practice.The educational outcome I am looking for is to see my students successfully decode a page of notation at their appropriate level and then be able to translate that notation into sounds on the keyboard. Ultimately students must really enjoy what they are doing to be successful in the long term. I try to discern the student's strengths and build on those. A sense of accomplishment and progress needs to be maintained with mostly positive feedback and encouragement to strive to be better. The students interests must be taken into consideration, whatever they may be while pushing to broaden their interests and understand the common elements in all kinds of music. Read More

I began teaching private lessons in 2019. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for student, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. If a student is not having fun in their lessons, then I am not doing my job! My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn.
