I have experience of teaching children and adults for over 30 years and have worked with students in Russia, Canada and USA. My teaching experience started in 1984 in Russia, when I was a college student. Those days I worked part time at music school. Then I taught private lessons in Vancouver, Canada for 6 years. I have been teaching lessons in my home studio in Lutz, Florida since 2009. All of my students learn piano classically, but I focus on finding other genres and styles that will help the student become connected with the music they learn to create. Students can expect to have structured lessons that incorporate technique exercises, rhythmic foundations, music theory, and repetoire that is appropriate for their age and ability. All students will always have at least one piece that they have chosen to work on to keep interest while building skills. For adults I like to use Alfred's Basic Adult All-In-One Course. This has a site that can be accessed at home for extra help and accompaniments to play the songs learned. I add technique to adults to keep the fingers moving such as Hanon and Czerny. Adults usually know what they are interested in learning and I point their instruction towards their personal goals. Read More

I first started teaching in the 1990s, in Boston, MA., both privately, and at Berklee College of Music. Since moving to Sarasota, I've taught voice/chorus at Out Of Door Academy and IMG Academy. I've played Broadway for Music Man, Little Mary Sunshine, Fantasticks, West Side Story in Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg Area. My overall experience in playing Organ is 50 years along with Christmas musicals, Hymn sings, Gospel fests, etc. In college, I sang in Oratorio group to Vocal Jazz, Wind ensemble, and HandBell choir.
