As I mentioned in the "about me" section, I served as principal horn with Държавна опера Стара Загора (the Bulgarian State Opera in Stara Zagora) from late 2017 to the very end of 2019, right before the pandemic hit. Before that, from 2016-2017, I taught public school for the first (and last) time in Natoma, Kansas, acting as the band, choir, and advanced music instructor. I also know that you get out of lessons what you put into them so I require that students practice at home in addition to their weekly lessons. My professor hired me as a teacher for the class which we opened in the community. At the end of semester, the university paid me for teaching. I also co-owned and managed the Green Room Arts music studio, where I recruited, prepared, and led several middle and high school student guitar orchestras on national and international tours and competitions. In 2017, under my direction, The Green Room Arts Youth Guitar Ensemble won 3rd place in the Large Ensemble division at the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America International Ensemble Competition.
