Homework is always needed because being able to play piano is the goal of the students.I will have my students practice etude, sonata/sonatina,polyphony pieces and modern pieces at the same time. I am familiar with many different series of method books (Faber, Bastien, Piano Town, Thompson, etc.), but will determine what the student needs based on their age and how much they know about music in general.
