Preschool students: I use everything in my hands to help them to love music and enjoy it. We dance, we jump, sometimes we color ... anything that helps them learn. My class basically consists in developing in the little ones curiosity and musical taste. Through musical games and songs, the students will understand the basics of music theory, tone and rhythm. I love giving my students the option to expess themselves and approach them with the methods they enjoy and desire. I am a serious, nerdy musician who loves to learn something new every day and then pass that knowledge along through teaching others. After several stints at several colleges for both Music Performance and Audio Engineering I am thoroughly enjoying a performing career focusing on drumset, piano and voice. I can often be found playing music and singing at many establishments in the Houston/Austin/San Antonio area. My methods vary with the age of the student. For beginners who are children, I usually start with Alfred's Basic Piano Library, which I try to go through most of that series. During that time, the children will occasionally play anything they wish to play that is interesting or fun to them.
