There are many different methods and styles to teach voice, but there are some basic fundamentals to good vocal technique and so for me its always important to start with a few basic warm ups, which normally includes simple vocal exercises such as scales and/or arpeggios, as well as working on good breathing. Its important for me to know what the student is interested and what they want to get out of the lessons, and specifically what repertoire they would like to work on, and from there we can work on a plan moving forward. My teaching experience dates back to High School as I began teaching part time. I continued teaching thru collage and the Airforce Band. After College I played full-time for many years. I began teaching full-time in 1995. I started my home studio in 2014. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. During my time of classical guitar studies, I performed in various recitals including a concert for the Govenor of Estados Amazonas in Venezuela in 1996.
