I am an enthusiastic and dedicated music teacher who loves introducing young children to the wondrous world of music. I come from a very musical family as my father instilled in me a great love of piano and I have in turn inspired my nephew who is also a musician. I graduated from Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. I have always had a good rapport with my students and I get great satisfaction watching my students advance in their musical proficiency. Read More

With the younger beginners (elementary school), I’m very, very energetic! I do my best to break it balanced; however, I strive to make the environment as fun and warm and welcoming as they would like. I pride myself on leaving every child eager to learn more! With the older beginners (middle school and high school), I keep in mind their personalities and methods of learning and processing the material, so the lesson is still warm, but more balanced in nature. For beginners, which is mainly what I've taught so far, I try and see what their goals are and teach them accordingly. Both students I've taught have had entirely different goals, one just trying to learn drumset and the other wanting to learn a song for his talent show. The first, I taught using my own books that I have learned from, and the second I taught by just going through the song slowly, taking it apart, and learning it section by section. Read More
