My preferred piano method is Piano Adventures and I recommend using the Lesson, Theory, and Sight Reading books at each level. For guitar and voice I typically do not follow any specific method unless the student has a preference. For more advance piano students I typically will begin using Suzuki or move them to Burgmller Etudes and Schumann's Opus 68 - Album for the Young. Suzuki and Hans Viola Method: For beginners, I often start with the Suzuki method, which emphasizes ear training and gradual progression. Additionally, I've developed my own teaching materials, the "Hans Viola Method," to provide a structured and comprehensive approach to learning the viola. Scale Mastery: Scales are essential for developing technique and understanding music theory. I love singing and I love teaching. I've taught voice off and on since 2002. My studio has included students from EVERY age bracket, ages 6- 70 and I've truly enjoyed each! When not teaching singing, I've taught elementary music preK-8, directed junior high choir and musicals, taught kindergarten and tutored students K through college.
