I start beginners with the drum rudiments and chart reading. This gets them able to move their hands and feet for better coordination. After they have better coordination I introduce ear training which is playing along to their favorite songs. This teaches the student how toplay with a band. I graduated high school in 2004 and went on with a full scholarship at Blinn Junior College in Brenham, TX. I played first trumpet part all throughout middle and high school and even in college.
