I aid them with this research by providing introductory resources, eventually leading them towards general music databases. For children, I keep it simple and fun, using a variety of methods to help them not only learn a song/songs, but the fundamentals of music reading, and theory. For older individuals, I prefer to work with their interests, and work towards their goals, through tailored lessons. I had several elementary school aged students.  My senior year I was selected as a Teacher's Aid for a local Jr. High School and assisted that band director with his band program.  I was the Captain (President) of our High School marching band.
