I have several methods, but mostly I teach to sing based on solfeage and songs, either italian, german, latin, spanish, and french. Solfeage helps the student to understand better sheet music and also helps understand the real emotion of the piece, among other things involved in a piece. After college, I taught piano, guitar, and general music as a volunteer teacher in rural Malaysia for one year. In graduate school, I instructed two courses of ear training every semester. I was a percussion major in college then spent a few years in Austin Texas traveling with country, rock and blues bands. Have played on over 20 records.
