Often this means scales, chords, arpeggios, music literacy, performance practice and listening skills. To accomplish this, I use standard materials that are often available online and are used by college and University music programs around the world. This class focusses on developing three aspects of a musician The Body The Mind The Soul With Body we will focus on developing the finger strength, stamina, and muscle memory necessary for playing guitar. Students will be given exercises and chords to practice that will train their hand for performance. For the Mind we will focus on learning the basics of music theory. I studied in Physics, Astronomy, Engineering, and Mathematics, but music and teaching have always been in my life, teaching students throughout high school and college at UGA as a second job. I took trips to Mexico over the summers from 2002-2005 playing music for children and students in between manual labor mission work.
